Description
The Diploma in Sign Language Interpretation is a two-year full-time programme designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in sign language and interpretation. Learners will develop a deep understanding of linguistic, cultural, and communicative aspects of Deaf communities, preparing them to act as effective intermediaries between Deaf and hearing individuals.
Throughout the programme, students engage in a combination of classroom instruction, practical workshops, and supervised field placements. Entry Requirements
For a student to be eligible to join this programme, he or she must possess at least one of the following qualifications:
- A holder of an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with one principal pass.
- A holder of a Certificate from a recognized institution.
