Bachelor of Education in Special Needs (BEDSN)

The Bachelor of Education in Special Needs (BEDSN) programme is designed to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for effective teaching and management in special needs education. Entry Requirements

BEDSN Programme Admission Requirements

A. Direct Entry Applicants

  1. At least three O'level credit passes in approved subjects.
  2. Two principal passes in Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSEE) in the following subjects: History, Geography, Kiswahili, English Language, Literature in English, French, Arabic, Fine Art, with a minimum of 4.0 points (where A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, D = 2, E = 1, S = 0.5).

B. Applicants Seeking Admission Under Equivalent Qualifications

  1. At least three O'level credit passes in relevant subjects.
  2. A recognized Diploma in Education with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0.
